London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012: Nail Trend

Nail wraps and decoration designs come out as the most thrilling new nail looks from the Top shop Unique, PPQ and Meadham Kirchhoff S/S ‘12 London Fashion Week catwalks. The garments, hair and make-up weren’t the only thing that observants of  fashion watchers were trying to search during London Fashion Week, the nails were splendid and gave us a clear scheme about what we’ll be doing with our nails come Spring/Summer 2012.

The nail trends were more inspired, more attention-grabbing and more pleasurable than ever before! Leave behind your regular nail polishes; these up-and-coming trends are about so much more than just color or form.

The best impression we observed at London Fashion Week all involved cartoon-crazy images and designs, including Sophy Robson’s pictograph symbols at Top shop S/S’12. Egyptian eyes and religious symbols applied with nail pens over base colors of glossy gold, turquoise and coral pink tributed the Cleopatra-motivated garments.

Above at PPQ and Meadham Kirchhoff S/S’12, nail wraps were the main order of the date. PPQ went all-out eighties with chain link gold keys (modelled by model of the moment, Charlotte Free, in this image.) Nail Rock shaped the wraps for Meadham Kirchhoff, and ingenious directors Zoe and Mike Pocock were described to design fun, lighthearted nails that caught the spirit of youth. We think the cute frilly hearts, ponies and doll faces on light backgrounds hit the nail on the head. They have proved to be a reason for such a emotion of excitement, that Nail Rock are looking into putting them into manufacture so that people like us can take hold of a slice of Meadham Kirchhoff genius.
